VARIOUS ARTISTS "HE'S BAD! 11 BANDS DECIMATE THE BEATS OF BO DIDDLEY" Limited edition box set (6x7")

Ten years in the making, and this set is almost here. Some of you might remember some online jabber-jawing about this thing way back then, but I’ve kept it hush-hush ever since, pretty much giving up on the project between the early 2010’s and the last year due to a lie I told myself about there not being any more bands that could live up to such a task. I had some missteps along the way, including the rejection of a grinding, sinister version of “Hey! Bo Diddley” (retitled as H.B.D.) by LAMPS, which eventually came out on their 3rd LP. I was in a strange, dark place at the time it was submitted, and their recording was lost on me for a couple reasons. But enough about that. This is party time. What you hold in your hands now is the result of my never ending obsession with Bo Diddley and modern rock’n’roll chaos, and my duty to the bands that were down from the get-go and supplied HALF of the fine entries included here so many years ago.
