From Italys nether-region of Sardinia, schizoid punks THEE OOPS are back with a hardcore holocaust called the Happy Charlie EP. Spread over two 7 platters (or one shiny CD, natch) like a fine casu marzu, Thee Oops bring 10 searing tracks of maggot infested punk rock ruckus like no one since hardcores salad days. The nine originals here twist and shred like a blast of shrapnel to the puss, with violence and anarchy reigning supreme, but this crew aint above letting the humor seep through, and they belt out a breakneck version of the Beastie Boys 1982 classic Egg Raid On Mojo, making this one of the first Beasties covers since the untimely death of Adam MCA Yauch.
